Find out more about Haringey GP Federation

Haringey GP Federation is a not-for-profit membership organisation - every GP practice in Haringey is a member. Founded in 2016, we deliver NHS services across the borough, working alongside your GP practice to improve health and care for everyone in Haringey.

Our vision is a healthier and happier Haringey - built on strong, innovative general practice at the heart of the community.

We deliver a range of NHS services that make it easier to get the help you need, when you need it, including evening and weekend GP appointments, health screenings, vaccination programmes, and lifestyle and wellbeing support through One You Haringey.

We work closely with NHS partners, the local council and community organisations to make sure services reach everyone, particularly those who face the greatest health challenges. Reducing health inequalities across Haringey is central to everything we do.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Haringey GP Federation?

Haringey GP Federation is a not-for-profit membership organisation - every GP practice in Haringey is a member. Founded in 2016, we deliver NHS services across the borough, working alongside your GP practice to provide services like health screenings, evening and weekend GP appointments, and lifestyle and wellbeing support.

Why are you contacting me?

We're getting in touch because you may be eligible for one of our services. This could be because your GP has referred you, because your GP practice has identified you as someone who might benefit, or because you've chosen to register your interest yourself - for example, through One You Haringey. You can see a full list of our services here or call us on 020 3074 2710 if you have any questions.

Does my GP know you're contacting me?

In most cases, yes. Either your GP has referred you directly, or your GP practice has agreed to us contacting certain patients about a specific service. Your GP practice is always aware of and supportive of the services we deliver, even if they don't know exactly when individual patients are contacted.

Why do you have access to my data and medical record? And what happens to my data?

We have an agreement with your GP practice that sets out what information we can access, how we use it, and why it's needed. This allows us to deliver your care safely. The level of access depends on the service - for example, evening and weekend GP appointments may need fuller access to your record so your care is joined up.

Any notes made during your appointment are shared securely with your GP practice. Your personal information is not passed to any other organisation unless it is needed to support your care, such as making a referral on your behalf.

We may also share information with local NHS organisations to help check that services are working well. This information cannot be used to identify you.

For full details, please see our privacy notice.

How did you get my phone number or contact information?

Your contact details were shared with us by your GP practice so that we can let you know about NHS services you may be eligible for. We only use your details for this purpose. For more information, please see our privacy notice.

A referral was made for me, but I didn't know about it. What should I do?

A GP or another member of your healthcare team may have arranged this on your behalf, and it's possible this wasn't explained to you at the time. If you'd prefer not to go ahead, just let us know and we'll remove you from our list - there's no obligation. If you'd like to find out more first, we're happy to help. Call us on 020 3074 2710.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Some of our services do offer evening and weekend appointments. Availability depends on local staffing and space, so this isn't possible for every service, but we do our best to offer a range of times to suit you.

Why are appointments not offered at my GP/preferred location?

We understand that travelling to a different location isn't always easy. Appointment locations depend on the availability of suitable local venues, and we don't always have access to every location. When your preferred location isn't available, we will try to find the nearest alternative that works for you.
