GP @ The Grove

This service brings together Haringey GP practices and patients who are accessing support from The Grove Drug Treatment Service and HAGA Action on Alcohol.

The service is based at The Grove Drug Treatment Service and HAGA in Tottenham. Clinics are available to patients who are already working with either organisation.

The service focuses on addressing the wider health needs of patients who are engaged in addiction recovery and therapy services.

About the service

Patients accessing treatment and recovery services often experience complex health needs alongside barriers to accessing healthcare. By supporting patients to develop a clear, coordinated care plan, the service aims to help both patients and professionals feel more confident and supported in improving health outcomes. The service works alongside recovery teams and the patient’s registered GP, promoting collaboration and a ‘team around the patient’ approach.

What patients can expect

Patients benefit from:

  • A 45-minute face-to-face assessment with a GP
  • A comprehensive care plan, covering physical health, mental health and recovery needs
  • One-to-one support from a wellbeing advocate, helping patients access additional services, navigate wider challenges, and act as a point of contact between the patient and other professionals
