Paediatric Super-Triage Service
This pilot service reviews children’s hospital referrals from East Haringey GPs and agrees on best next steps in care. Each referral is reviewed jointly between a Haringey GP and a paediatric doctor from North Middlesex University Hospital.
Aims and objectives
- Give children faster access to specialist advice, ensuring that they get the right care in the right place.
- Prevent unnecessary outpatient appointments and lower the chance of patients needing to return to the GP for the same issue due to long waiting times.
- Improve the experience for families by offering reassurance and consistent care earlier on.
What are the service’s operating hours?
This triage service runs weekly, every Thursday.
How do referrals work?
Referrals are managed by participating GP practices located in the east of Haringey. Patients cannot self-refer into this service.
